A Note from Chelsey

This is where I made my Broadway debut — at the Lyric. And I'm still at the Lyric ten years later with Harry Potter. Same venue, same crew. Paramour closed to make way for Harry Potter, and here we are.

I auditioned originally and didn't get it. Then, after rehearsals had already started, the Telsey office called me in with a small group of other women and casting told me “Pretend you've never been in for this before.”

I went in after a voice lesson, booked it the same day, and was asked to be at the theater that night for the invited dress. I covered up to 22 tracks, including the acrobats when their feet were on the floor.

The Hamburg production was a different chapter entirely — that's where I became assistant director and assistant choreographer. And the finale to Germany's Next Top Model came directly out of those relationships.
