Opening Number to Season 14 Finale
A Note from ChelseyI was sent to Germany by Sergio Trujillo— he was in New York opening Ain’t Too Proud, which was about to win the Tony that spring. He sent me over to set the entire opening number by myself. I had been the associate on Paramour in Hamburg, so getting to go back over to Hamburg work with the cast again in this capacity was such a thrill.
The scale was insane — a 15,000-person arena. It was a solo project. The models were on the reality show, so cameras were following us through rehearsals the entire time. I don't know when I slept. But I know I nailed the assignment.
I'm really, genuinely proud of it, and almost nobody saw it. That's the wild part — the amount of work that went into something so few people know about. But Sergio texted me and told me he was proud of me, and that meant everything.
